March 2018 saw the coming together of like-minded people from local authority housing teams, third sector organisations and local citizens advice centres at 3 events hosted by NHAS; one in Birmingham, one in Peterborough and one in London.
The focus of the events was the (then) impending Homelessness Reduction Act. Guest speakers from Southwark, Birmingham and Fenland councils brought us up to speed with what’s happening in their trailblazer areas, whilst NHAS trainers led workshops on personalised housing plans. This along with a briefing on the HRA from a legal perspective provided the backdrop for people to share ideas, contacts and natural concerns as to how the HRA would work for their services.
Feedback from the series of events was excellent, and thanks go to all those who contributed to the successful running of the roadshows.
To view the presentation slides, login to your portal on the NHAS website and look under ‘Roadshow resources’. A summary of feedback from the events can be found here.
