New NHAS Facebook group launched
Posted by nicola_marklew May 01, 2018
We are excited to let you know about our new closed Facebook group – National Homelessness Advice Service (NHAS). It can be found either by searching using the full title as described, or by using this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/353458575149982/
The closed group is intended as a safe space whereby people can have conversations with others from different areas, post useful items such as links, documents, training courses and hear what organisations from other sectors are doing. All NHAS members are welcome, so too are people who work for NHAS or have an interest in NHAS and the work we do.
What this group isn’t, is a space for which to seek detailed advice for housing queries – you should direct these to the consultancy line as normal.
So, how does it work?
The group is monitored by 2 administrators, and we ask everyone who wants to join: whether they’re a member of NHAS and what their reason is for joining. This is to safeguard the group from people whose intentions may not be helpful. We will do what we can to make people in the group feel safe to post, but as with any online social space, we can’t guarantee what others will do with information posted in the group.
It is a new journey for us into the online social world, and we would like to hear what you think of the group, or any concerns that you may have – please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: Facebook group, and we’ll have a chat!
