Free Training Needs discussion forum for Local Citizens Advice members

We are delivering a Training Needs discussion forum on 11th December 2015 for Training co-ordinators; advice session supervisors and guidance tutors from Local Citizens Advice.

Our new forum will look at assessing training needs, developing training needs analysis and also the support that the NHAS can offer. There will be an opportunity for participants to discuss how they ensure staff and volunteers have the knowledge and skills to work effectively, highlight issues that are causing problems and share good practice.

For: Local Citizens Advice Training co-ordinators, advice session supervisors and guidance tutors

There is no pre-coursework, but participants might want to consider:

  • How they currently identify training needs for both new and existing staff
  • What tools are used and what you find most useful
  • What are the key issues? For example – role changes, funding cuts, keeping up with legislation changes, what are the main problems affecting clients approaching your bureau?
  • Examples of good practice
