Duty to refer guidance for NHS staff

The Department of Health and Social Care have published guidance on the duty to refer, which came into force on the 1st October 2018. The new duty places a responsibility on a number of named public authority services to ensure people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness get support for their housing situation.
This guidance has been written for NHS staff working in inpatient services, emergency departments and urgent treatment centres.
